"Gooderized" clubs notch a victory on a Professional Tour!

September/2020 was a momentus month for Gooder Golf and one of our "Gooder-ites" (customers). A set of our irons were used to notch a victory on the COVID shortened 2020 Mackenzie Tour (Canadian Tour). It was the first professional win carded for our professional Gooder-ite, and also the first professional win notched for Gooder Custom Golf Clubs. We are thrilled to be able to have helped multiple local golfers win their local club championships, and we have plenty of activity in local amatuer tournaments, but it is especially gratifying to know that our clubs can not only make the cut, but win on a professional tour!

Action on the Professional Tours:

September/2020 - Albert Pistorius used his set of Gooder Custom Golf Clubs (Wishon irons/wedges) to notch a victory on the Mackenzie Tour (Canadian Tour) at TPC Toronto.

South African born Albert Pistorius, who now resides in Calgary, made the drive to the Regina area and spend two days with us for some fitting and testing. The result was a set of irons/wedges that perform very well (even under professional tournament pressure) for this Tour quality golfer, and helped this golfer notch his first professional win! Albert has had experience on the European Tour, the Mackenzie Tour, Korn Ferry Tour, and the PGA Tour.................. and if he keeps his awesome play up - hopefully will soon be a regular PGA Tour card holding, weekly contender for PGA Tour, FedEx Cup, and Major events for a LONG LONG time.

We at Gooder Golf are VERY proud, honoured, and humbled to have helped contribute to Albert's first professional Tour win. He's a very positive, up-beat fella, who loves golf, loves life, and has a thirst for knowledge about the science behind golf clubs. When you combine his exceptional level of skill/talent with some awesome clubs backed by Good(er) ol' Golf science - it's a dynamite combination.

We will continue to follow AP's progress on the golf course, whether it be a mini-tour event, or a Major - we are all cheering for you partner!!!! Keep your foot on the gas, and play well Albert!

Professional win!

Plenty of Local Action too:

We have helped numerous local (and some not so local) golfers from all over Saskatchewan, Alberta, Manitoba, British Columbia, Ontario, and now South Africa win tournaments, local club championships, lower their handicaps, shoot lower scores, get their first (or in some cases multiple) hole-in-one, shoot career low rounds, increase their "smiles per round" count, attain a golf scholarship in the state of California, get their first USA collegiate golf win, etc., etc., etc. - it's all about finding the combination of components the golfer's body WANTS to swing, then matching the clubs in the set accordingly. Length, weight, weight distribution, flex (bend profile), head design, set make-up, etc. - it all matters. The greater the number of fitting variables we can "Gooder-ize" for the golfer, the beter he/she will play. You just cannot properly fit a golfer in 20, 30, or even 60 minutes - if you really think that is possible I promise you that you're leaving a TON of good stuff on the table. A "commercially convenient" fitting will not stack up against against a "Gooder" fitting - An average iron fitting here is 4 hours - you just cannot do it much quicker than that.
