Swing Science 200 Series Iron

The 200 SERIES irons follow the same design philosophy of the woods. Clean lines with a blend of today’s game improvement technology make the 200 iron a winner for players of all abilities. Undercut flow technology moves the CG deeper and further behind the ball for each and every club in the bag. Weight has been positioned more towards the toe on long irons and gradually moves towards the heel on short irons capitalizing on golfer’s tendencies and promoting more solid shots.

Available in 3-9, PW, SW in RH, and available 4-PW in LH.

Miura Hand Crafted FORGED Irons:

A quick note regarding Miura Golf clubs -  Miura components are not available separately (please do not inquire asking me to sell you just the heads).  The ONLY way to get yourself into a set of Miura clubs (which are assembled by me) is to go through a complete iron fitting - the finished product is made to fit YOU and YOU only.  Miura components will not be sold separately.

Features

  • Miura's forging techniques rearrange the molecular structure of the mild steel in a pattern that is uniform throughout the club head. This eliminates void spots in the club face. This process assures that every Miura club in your bag has the distance control, ball flight, spin, and feel that any golfer should demand.

  • This tightness in the grain structure of the metal is what gives Miura made clubs the controlled, soft feel that other manufacturers cannot achieve. Miura also uses a proprietary "spin welding" process to produce the industries' most consistent hosel. This unique procedure ensures that the bore depths and hosel heights are identical on every Miura made head and the shaft of every club will be perfectly centered.

    Miura Forged Blade:

Designed for the professional or top amateur golfer.  This clubhead is considered the "Ultimate" blade.  This very low offset clubhead is suitable to a single-digit handicap golfer.

    Miura Forged MC102:

    Features

Most of Mr. Miura's creations have lower handicapped golfers in mind.
The MC-102 opens the door to golfers who need a bit more help.

This model is a marriage of tour issue performance and game improvement features.  It has a generous offset in the long irons and progressively less offset through the mid and short irons.  A great deal of thought was also given to shaping the sole in a way that makes it less demanding to play.  The sole of each iron is personally ground by Mr. Miura or one of the Miura family to ensure consistency through out the set.  Now everyone can experience the feel and performance enjoyed by the best golfers in the world.

  • Expanded sweetspot and increased forgiveness of a cavity back.

  • Blade-like appearance w/sleek top-line, minimal offset, middle head size.

  • Middle-high, stable trajectory.

  • Feel, feedback and workability of a forged iron.

Miura's forging techniques rearrange the molecular structure of the mild steel in a pattern that is uniform throughout the hitting area of the club in a manner that is unique to his clubs.

This tightness in the grain structure of the metal is what gives Miura made clubs the controlled, soft feel that other manufacturers cannot achieve. Miura also uses a proprietary "spin welding" process to produce the industries' most consistent hosel. This unique procedure ensures that the bore depths and hosel heights are identical on every Miura made head and the shaft of every club will be perfectly centered.

  • Precision & advantage of adjustability of the lie and loft.

The unique precision of Miura's forging process provides a weight error of ±0.5g after polishing, a standard for quality that cannot be matched by any other golf club manufacturer. In addition to the playing characteristics of the forged mild steel golf club, it also has the added advantage of adjustability allowing a golfer to be able to have the lie and loft of his Miura clubs adjusted to fit his or her swing perfectly.
  • Available 3-PW in RH only.

    Miura Forged CB202:

    Features

  • CB-202 has a thinner topline with a slightly rounder toe to give it a sleeker look.  Also new are some minor adjustments to the sole and leading edge to improve playability.  The result: A beautiful cavity-back with a blade like ball flight and better playability. Who says you can't improve on perfection.

    Miura Forged CB301:

    Features

  • Although the theories of forged iron design have not changed through the years, Mr. Miura’s latest design, the CB 301, has redefined weight distribution within the head.  His concept is simple: Pull the center of gravity in towards the hosel, and move more weight out towards the toe.  Each has a different effect on the iron. The first makes the head close more rapidly and the second slows it down.  By working with the ratio between these two opposing forces, Mr. Miura is able to control the way the club face closes.  This particular grind blends these two forces so that the club head squares more easily.  It allows for a more fluid swing as opposed to a guarded effort to guide the club. With the best quality control in the industry, Miura Golf is the only company that can pull this off in a forged iron.

  • Years ago, Mr. Miura recognized how flawed the traditional forging process was and set out to correct it.  The solution was to forge the head and the hosel separately with equipment that was custom designed for each specific part.  This improved forging technique compresses the molecules of the head beyond anything that is made today, while maintaining the tightest weight tolerances in the industry.  The result: superior feel, and a perfectly balanced head.  Just as important in the process, every hosel is milled and thus perfectly symmetrical, with the tightest bore tolerances of any manufacturer.  This guarantees that every Miura customer will have a shaft that is perfectly centered.  These two perfect parts are then “spin welded” together resulting in a "tour quality iron" that is available to everyone.  In a word, our manufacturing process "repeats", iron after iron and repeatability is the secret to golf.
  • Miura's forging techniques rearrange the molecular structure of the mild steel in a pattern that is uniform throughout the club head.  This eliminates void spots in the club face.  This process assures that every Miura club in your bag has the distance control, ball flight, spin, and feel that any golfer should demand.

    Miura Forged CB501:

    • When the CB-501 was in development, our goal was to combine the best features from our favorite Miura irons, both past and present.  Mr. Miura was striving for the ideal ball flight; enough offset to promote playability, the perfect head size, and a sole grind that would accommodate a broad range of players.
    • With a sole grind that appeals to the Tour player, the 501 also possesses a design that will appeal to all levels of golfers.
    • The “sweet spot” muscle back  will deliver a ball flight with the trajectory of a blade.
    • This style of iron also offers cavity-back forgiveness, as the contact point moves away from the center of the face.
    • We spent two years integrating these design variables in different ways until we found the blend that worked best for the widest range of golfers.
